Roads and Railways are the major modes of transport in Yavatmal district.

Roads

National Highways:-

The Nagpur Hyderabad national highway passes through this district. Vadki, Karanji, Pandharkavada, Patanbori and kelapur are the places which lie on this road.

Main Road

Amravati-Chandrapur Road :-

This road passes through Ner, Yavatmal, Jodmoha, Mohada, Umari, Karanji and Wani.

Nagpur-Nanded Road :-

Kalamb, Yavatmal, Darwha, Digras, Pusad, and Umarkhed are the places along this road.

Railways

Yavatmal-Murtijapur Railway:-

Yavatmal and Darwha Stations in the district lie on this railway line.

Wani-Varoda Railway:-

From Wani one branch line goes up to Rajur and another to Chanakha. This line is used for transport of minerals. In addition to these, one line goes from Wani to Majri-Varoda. Wani is a railway junction.

Trade

Cotton , Yarn ,Nylon, Tiles, Lime and Coal are sent our from this district. Grains, Tea, Coffee, Machines, Iron goods, Cars, Bicycles, Cement and Medicines are brought into Yavatmal from out-side.
