Jower
and cotton are the main produce of the
district. Other important cash crops are groundnut and pulses(
Tur-dal) .The chief exports articles of
the district are cotton and teakwood
giving highest revenue to the district .Other exports at items are cotton bales , lime , ice candy,
wooden furniture and Sugras, Pashu khadhya, Oranges , Coal and Tendu leaves
etc.
The
chief imports articles are Cloth, Row Cotton, Lime stone, machinery, cement
medicines , gur etc. Mot of these are
important form Nagpur , Bombay, and Pune. Apart from the weekly markets and
fairs , Yavatmal ,Pusad, Wani, Digreas, Ghtanji, Pandarkwada, Ralegaon,
Umarkhed, Darwha, and ner are the
important trade centre in district.
