A.        Location: -

 

                        Shri Vasantrao Naik Govt. Medical College, Yavatmal was started by Govt of Maharashtra in 1989.  It is situated in a cozy non-polluted hilly area of vidarbha. It is well connected by Road to Nagpur, which is approximately 150 Kms. Nearest Railway Station in Dhamangaon, which is approx 40 Km Away. Recently an Air strip is started which brings the Yavatmal on Airline map.

 

 

B.        Infrastructure: -

 

  1. Shri.V.N.Govt.Medical College, yavatmal is constructed on 5,13,969 Sq.meter land area. Out of this 34,105 Sq.meter construction is completed.

 

  1. A spacious O.P.D. Complex housing 12 well equipped Operation theatres.

 

  1. A 288 Bedded Hospital complex housing 12 well equipped operation theatres.

 

  1. A.252 Bedded Old civil Hospital Building.

 

  1. Old Women’s Hospital & T.B.Hospital attached to the Institution.

 

  1. A new 288 Beded Hospital Building under construction and would be commissioned soon.

 

  1. Auditorium for the sitting arrangement of 800.

 

  1. A huge library with a vast treasure of books, journals.

 

  1. Internet facility available.

 

  1. Dharamshala for the relatives of patients available.

             100 Students per year for M.B.B.S.

A highly experiended & dedicated Teaching staff available in pre clinical Para clinical

And clinical departments. Faculty members are postgraduate teachers for the other universities.
