Kharif Crops

Jowar ,Cotton ,Groundnut and rice are the important kharif Crops of the District .

Jowar :-

It grows in plenty in taluks of Pusad , Ner, Mahagaon,Umarkhed, Maregaon,Ghatnaji,Wani, Zari-Jamni . Jowar grows in other talukas also .

Cotton:-

Ghatanji,Wani.,Pusad,Umarkhed,Mahagaon, and Ner talukas grow cotton on a large scale .

Groundnut:-

Groundnut is grown in the talukas of Pusad,Digras, Darwha ,Arni, Ghtanji ect.

Rices is Grown in all the talukas in verying quantities.

Rabi Crops

Wheat and gram are the important crops grown in the Rabbi season. Sesame and linseed (Jawas) are also grown besides these .

Wheat :-

This crops is grown in the talukas lying in river basins of the Wardha and the Penganga .These are Umarkhed, Pusad,Wani,Digras, Maregaon and Zari-jamni . Wheat is grown in Arni, Ghtanji, and Yavatmal , too .

Gram:-

Gram is grown in the talukas of Umarkhed ,Wani, Ralegaon,Maregaon ,Pusad, Digras, Ghatanji and Babhulgaon etc.

Irrigated Crops:-

Sugarcane, Bananas, Oranges, Grapes, and betel-leaves are some important irrigated crops grown in Yavatmal District.

Sugarcane:-

Sugarcane is grown in the talukas of Pusad,Umarkhed and Mahagaon.

Bananas and Oranges:-

Zadgaon ,Ralegaon,Kalamb,and Dabhapahur regions have Banana and Oranges Plantations.

Grapes:-

There are vineyards in Pusad and Umarkhed regions.

Betel-leaves:-

Ladkhed, Darwha, Digras and Umarkhed regions have betel leaf plantations.
